Christmas Day

First of all, Merry Christmas to all my Christmas celebrating friends...


So it hasn't been the best Christmas for us. Yesterday they closed day-care earlier for Christmas Eve so I got to have my afternoon nap at home. It was a nice nap, but when I got up I had a fever. The night didn't go all that well either. My mommy made my daddy a nice Christmas Eve dinner but I had no appetite so I didn't really want to eat anything.


And this morning I didn't feel like doing much other than reading - my favorite thing after playing with cars and trains and trucks. So here you can view me read with my daddy...

Happy Hanukkah

Today was the first night of Hanukkah. Such a fun holiday! We went to a big Hanukkah party at the ice-rink. If course I was way too young to go ice-skating, but I had lots of fun running around in one of the empty rooms...

Ah, my Abba is finally back home. The last three weeks without him have been very difficult on both me and my mommy. I was sick a lot and very angry that my Abba was gone and was having a difficult time adjusting. And my mommy is very pregnant and in a lot of pain. But now Abba is home and life is good again...

My 2nd Birthday

Tomorrow is my 2nd birthday and today they threw me the best birthday party ever at my Gan (Israeli day-care). My Savta (grandma) Ruti and my Doda (aunt) Osnat made me the best cake (and completely nut and sesame free) chocolate birthday cake in the shape of a chu-chu train. It was really cool and really yummy...

Feeding the Baby

Maybe this whole baby thing is sinking in after all... I found a little baby cat doll and a bottle that goes alone with it and I gave the baby a bottle. But for all other purposes, I refuse to acknowledge that I will have a baby brother any time soon... giving the baby a bottle video

Chocolate

So, I am almost 2 years old and my wonderful mommy has managed to protect me from the harmful effects of chocolate long enough. Today it was time for her to let her guard down a bit and of course I got to reap all the benefits. My cousins (Danielle, Amit & Roee) spent the night last night and this morning my cousin Roee got a piece of toast with this Israeli chocolate spread (the only kind that is actually safe for me to eat because of my allergies) and my mom assumed, correctly, that I would want to have exactly what he was having because I like doing everything he does. So she was aiming to prevent a tamtrum (I'm really great at those...) and made me a piece of toast with the chocolate spread. Needless to say I loved it and there's no going back to toast with just plain butter anymore for me.

The Belly

Here's my mommy's belly at 26 weeks pregnancy. Inside there is my little brother who will remain Nutterbutter until a more appropriate name is found for him

Reunited...

My daddy came to Israel in the middle of the night last night (he was supposed to arrive yesterday afternoon but his flight got delayed and so on and so on and so he ended up getting in at 1 am) so I didn't get to see him until the morning. I was so incredibly happy and excited to see him. We spent a good amount of time cuddling in bed together while my mommy was taking her first, really long shower since having arrived in Israel. I am just so happy daddy is here.

A Little Zoo

After my nap my mommy and my grandma took me to a small zoo in their hometown. We met up with my mommy's friends and their daughter Sapir. She is 4 months older than me and I am completely IN-LOVE. She is totally my new girlfriend

And here's a video of me not quite ready to pet the animals so I'm petting the fake mushroom instead pet the mushroom video, and here I'm petting a rabbit not once, but twice and making sure the little and very pushy girl knows it's a rabbit, rabbit (video), and here I'm not quite sure what possessed me to pet the turtle but then I got back to petting the rabbit (video) and ok, can you tell I like saying the word rabbit? From there we went on to see lots of different monkeys, birds, parrots, peacocks, a lion, giraffes, a zebra, a bear and I don't even remember all of them. The cutest of all was the Bambi of course.


We ended the afternoon at a nice cafe where I didn't let my mommy sit even for a second. I was busy busy busy... I had a blast!

First Day of Israeli 'Gan' (day-care) and the Beach Again

Yesterday was my first day of 'Gan' (Israeli day-care). My mommy and grandma took me and my mommy had to show all the teachers how to use my benedryl and Epi-Pen in case of an allergic reaction of which I've already had 3 since we arrived here.



I had a nice time and I even slept for a little bit with the other kids. Today I will try to sleep as long as the other kids.



But the best part of the day was after day-care when my mommy and my auntie took me to the beach again. This time they let me run around naked which was really nice with the cool breeze and all. And I was also a little less timid and got a little closer to the water and all. I saw lots of kites and airplanes and a huge, blue tractor. I had a blast
