All That Valentine's Day Loving

Ah, Valentine's Day... what can I say about this day? Mommy says it's a holiday made up by Hallmark. She used to like this holiday and get all excited about it. But today something changed... she was driving back from her hypnotherapist to pick up lunch and bring it to daddy at work. She was at a stop-light and saw several guys buying flowers at one of those street corner, only on Valentine's Day, flower stands. These men looked miserable and like they had no clue as to why they had to endure the humiliation of buying flowers on a street corner. That's when she decided it was all so silly and told my daddy she would rather he surprised her with flowers on any other day. Daddy didn't know where to start counting his blessings for not having to be one of those miserable men this day.

Of course mommy & daddy still got me a Valentine's Day card.

But, I don't care what mommy thinks of this day - I got my teachers at day care cards and chocolates and got cards for all the other kids in my roon. And I gave my mommy lots of extra loving earlier this evening before I went to bed

Valentine's Day Loving, and some more Valentine's Day Loving

Oh, and of course I want to wish all of you a very Happy Valentine's Day

Regressing a Bit When it Comes to Eating Neatly

Gone are the days when I ate nicely and independently and didn't toss my food or my plate onto the floor. I seem to have regressed a bit. Mommy is not sure what's going on. Maybe, and I try to tell her this all the time but she doesn't understand my language yet, it's her insistence on trying to teach me how to spoon and fork feed myself. I say in my own special way that I'm just not ready yet; that I want to stay a baby for just a little bit longer. But, in the meantime, I think she is getting a tiny bit frustrated with me throwing most of my food on the floor and tossing my plate around. So I think she is going to go back to feeding me until I get over this playing with the food phase that I seem to be in right now. Well, here's a video of me feeding the floor, and here's my favorite sneezing into my food as any boy should be doing, and one last one of me eating my first pineapple

Surgery Success

Thanks to all of you that prayed for my mommy's friend's little baby. The surgery was a success and took less time than expected. The boy is in ICU and will stay there for 2-3 more days and then they will have a better idea of how long and how easy/difficult the recovery will be. So please keep praying for him. Thanks.

Double Ear Infection Revisited

So, I seem to have managed to get my self a double ear infection again, the 2nd time in the past month. I'm talented that way! Seriously though, my mommy is starting to get really worried about me. I have been sick almost non-stop since the beginning on January and we're not even through with February. I'm getting yet another kind of antibiotics (after having a reaction to the previous kind). On the bright side, this one doesn't taste quite as bad and I only have to take it once a day, rather than twice a day. Oh, and the dose is smaller too. So it seems that I lucked out this time around...

Please Say a Special Prayer

To all of you who read my blog I ask that you say a special prayer. My mommy's dear friend's 2 1/2 months old baby boy is going to have open-heart surgery on Thursday to close the hole in his heart. It is a complicated procedure, especially on such a young baby. The good news is that the procedure has a 99% success rate. So please pray for my little friend who needs all the love and support he can get. And also for his mommy & daddy who are very worried. Thanks.

Some More Fun Before Grandpa Gabi Leaves & My First Pink-Eye Infection

This morning my mommy got to sleep in! She was so happy! When she woke up, she gave me my breakfast yogurt Breakfast Yogurt

And then grandpa Gabi made my mommy & daddy breakfast and my mommy couldn't finish her omlette so she put some on my table and I finished it for her Video 1 and Video 2

Grandpa Gabi didn't have to leave until I got up from my nap so I got to say goodbye to him. I hope I get to see him again soon.

The afternoon was not as much fun as the morning though. My eyes were tearing all day long so my mommy started worrying that there was something wrong. My doctor's office isn't open on Sundays but it wasn't an ER kind of an emergency (thank god for that) so mommy & daddy took me to Patient First which is open on Sundays as well. Well, it took an hour and a half till I got to see a doctor. My mommy & daddy don't like this doctor because she has previously misdiagnosed both of them with sinus infections and had them take antibiotics when they didn't really need them. So they didn't have much faith in her. Well, she said I had pink-eye and that they have to put these awful, stinging, drops in my eyes every four hours. Well, I don't like these drops at all! They really do sting. But I'm being a brave little boy.

Grandpa Gabi Visits Again

I am a very lucky little boy! Last week, my daddy was away so grandma Phyllis came all the way from Blacksburg, VA to stay with my mommy and me. She stayed with us till late afternoon Friday and my grandpa Gabi came early afternoon Friday. Grandpa Gabi loves taking care of me and taking me outside to play and to help my mommy and daddy with all kinds of stuff.

In the morning he dressed me and fed me and then I got to play with my daddy for a little bit

And then daddy decided he needed some exercise so we did some of that Exercising with Daddy

After I got up from my nap, grandpa Gabi gave me my after nap snack After nap snack

And the best part of the day was playing outside with grandpa Gabi and our neighbors' baskteball (though I did use it as a soccer ball...)

More Fun with Grandpa Gabi

This morning grandpa Gabi made M&D really yummy omlettes for breakfast and they gave me some. Yum!!! I was licking my hands.

It was another beautiful day so we spent a lot of time outside.

Ok, so you know how most people (and all of our neighbors) put away their outdoor holiday decorations a couple of days after the New Year? Well, my M&D have not had time to do that yet because I've been sick so much over the past month that they just haven't gotten around to it yet. Well, grandpa Gabi helped and we got it done!!! Oh, and I sort of helped too Video 1

Here I am playing soccer (my daddy's favorite game)
Video 2

And I also played soccer with daddy & grandpa Gabi Video 3

And even mommy joined in on all the soccer fun Video 4

Eventually we had to go inside but that was ok because I was getting hungry and it was dinner time already.

After dinner mommy gave me my bath Bath Part 1 and Bath Part 2

And then it was bed time. They didn't let me stay up to watch the Superbowl. They said that maybe next year I would get to watch some of it
