A bunch of stuff

Last week Lindsay took me to her house after she picked me up from preschool to see her cats. I liked them but was a little scared of them. So I kept getting close and chasing after them but didn't want to actually touch them. It's ok though, I'll be more brave next time she takes me over there

Some Updates

So when I was about Aiden's age now I went through a phase of sticking my tongue out and being just as cute as can be.

Me Sticking My Tongue Out at 6 + Months Old

And now look at Aiden doing the same thing...

Aiden Sticking His Tongue Out at 7 Months Old

He also shares my love of cell phones...

And let's see what else...

Aiden has been spending the last month pulling up on anything that he can. He pulls up on mommy, on daddy, on the table, on the TV stand, on chairs, on my step stools, and on me, which is quite irritating. But I forgive him because he's my little brother and I love him. He has been mobile via rolling and scooting and hopping like a bunny.

I started preschool on Tuesday. I really like my new preschool. I am adjusting super well and liking my new teachers and friends. I also like coming home an hour earlier than I used to and spending more time with mommy and baby Aiden. Here are pictures from my preschool orientation day

Here's a video of me getting comfortable with my classroom at the new preschool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExBuhHyZNZU, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ludBxyZd28, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4oe8aiftEY

And I guess the biggest news of all is that baby Aiden started crawling yesterday. Of course this is hard to catch on video because he gets so distracted by the camera. But today we caught a bit of his crawling. But really, he crawls much better and faster than what we've been able to catch on video. Oh, when he did his first crawl and mommy and Lindsay were cheering him, I ran to him and hugged and kissed him and told him: "Good job baby Aiden". I am very proud of my baby brother.

Here are the videos, but keep in mind he crawls much better and faster than this

Nice Weekend

My Savta Ruti is still here which is great. But even better, grandpa Phil & Nima came to visit her this weekend so I got to spend a ton of fun times with the grandparents.

Something very special happened yesterday during lunch: I ate salad. This happens every so often, which is against all odds because my daddy doesn't eat vegetables so he isn't the best example setter for me when it comes to veggies.
But my mommy's efforts of organic, healthy meals are paying off big time! Check it out for yourselves... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHflMZnB9Y4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOVemIiDY8Y

Also, it's all silly talk when people say that boys don't help out around the house - I mean, look at me, I have my own broom and all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yPQl_nP1b8

Yesterday, grandpa, Nima & daddy took me to the Richmond aviation museum. It was pretty fun

There's also a very short video that grandpa took there http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?pi=0&ps=20&sf=added&sa=0&sq=&dm=1

And of course, I must include a picture of my gorgeous baby brother who is way too interested in MY trains...

It's Been a Long Time

So, it's been a very long time. My mommy has been busy and since I still don't know how to type myself, and considering I only say like 6-word sentences or so, I pretty much have to wait until she has time to help me out. So let's see, what have I been up to since July 4th?

My Sabba (Israeli grandpa) came to visit me... he actually stayed here for three weekends in a row, one of which while my daddy was away in the UK, which was very helpful for my mommy. We don't like it when daddy is away.

My grandma was here helping mommy while daddy was away. My grandpa was also here helping my mommy while daddy was away.

We have a tradition of daddy making hot wings for dinner every Sunday night. I like them hot and I like to dip them in extra hot sauce in addition to the sauce already on them. You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRWvhK6fHXI, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOabM7VFKfs

Let's see, what else... baby Aiden regularly poops on the potty whereas I only pee in the potty so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-nx8xwPtPc
My daddy took me to the part of the park that has a real Caboose http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjXQwHhHbOM
Caboose Picture 1

Caboose Picture 2

Baby Aiden really really loves to eat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aO7gAnD4tXU it's a real shame he is allergic to so many things
And yesterday we discovered his pincer grasp is pretty darn good so now he can have cheerios and puffs (of course he has to alternate days because he's allergic) and mommy might try to give him little pieces of soft, cooked chicken in the coming days to try

He also really loves to read

And Aiden and I take baths together now

Today we went outside for a bit after I came home from day-care because finally it was under 95F!

Oh, and baby Aiden had a nasty double ear infection that has caused some serious sleep deprivation for my mommy... he is also teething... he is trying oh so hard to crawl and he almost has it... he is pulling up to standing really really well. He's been sitting well for months now so that's nothing new I guess. And the worst of all is that now that he's more mobile and can pull up to standing, he is making a grab for my trains. We'll have to come to some sort of agreement on when and how he can play with my trains.

I start pre-school at Chabad come this September. Mommy and daddy are really excited about it so I am hoping it means it will be good and fun!

That's it for now. I'll try to update more often. Hopefully now mommy will be getting more sleep.

Fourth of July 2009

We had lots of visitors for 4th of July weekend. Grandpa Phil & Nima Sandy, grandma Phyllis, aunt Debbi & uncle Kevin & my cousin Colin were here. We had lots of fun. I shared all my toys with my cousin and we all went to the park and had a blast. We had lots of good food and I can't wait till I get to see them again.

Here's a video of baby Aiden's first time in the swing at the park http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z4x3G0Ywps and here's a video of my feeding baby Aiden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F8j-c74C0w

Baby Aiden Loves to Eat

So in spite of the diet limitations for baby Aiden and for mommy, they are managing to find things to eat. I was my mommy's first child so she used to think that I loved to eat, but apparently my love of food doesn't even come close to baby Aiden's love of food. But why should you believe me when you can see for yourselves...

As for me, I am apparently learning some things at day-care that are not as good as others... on Friday night when my mommy put my dinner in front of me I said for the first time (before trying it mind you): 'I don't like it'. It kind of caught my mommy by surprise. I ended up eating it. I just like saying it...

Updates

I never got to have an exersaucer. When I was a baby my mommy was adamant about hardly ever putting me down. I was almost always held. That's probably why I still need mommy to go to sleep. But with having me and baby Aiden, mommy can't always hold him. And there's all that cooking to be made from scratch because of both of our allergies so sometimes the baby needs to be put down. So mommy bought him an exersaucer and here is a picture of his first time in it. By the way, he LOVES IT! I wish I had it when I was a baby!

Oh, baby Aiden was constipated for like 9 days. Finally, after many days of really stinky farts, daddy did the whole glycerin thing for him and he finally produced some long anticipated poop! Well, after the first couple of explosive diapers, mommy decided that we would all be better off if he just did it on the potty. Of course when I saw that little bro was sitting on the potty I wanted to do it to and so here we are - bros on potties!

There are a couple of cool videos of us on our potties but since they show certain body parts we cannot post them. And talking of potties - I pee in the potty pretty much all the time now. I do it at school on the low toilets standing up. I do it at home standing up on a step-stool or sitting down on my little potty. I have come close to pooping in the potty once. I will get there. I promise! Hopefully before I start pre-school in September.

Baby brother Aiden is getting really good at grabbing objects and putting them in his mouth. He can also sit unsupported for a few minutes at a time which is something I was not able to do at his age (but who's keeping score?!). He still needs some work on his rolling over skills. He does it but not consistently yet. And he sort of laughs but not quite like I did at his age (again, who is keeping score?!)

A Coke Ad Perhaps?

Should we send this to Coke? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63MumPfx_2g

Ok, let's move on - so yesterday we went to the park. I like tummy sliding now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxIXyIYClz0 but then I wasn't sure which way I should slide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySMVaid2O0Q

Today we went to feed the duckies (mommy got breakfast at Panera: She had an egg sandwich with the one egg she is allowed per week with the new restrictions and enjoyed every single bite of it. Of course she couldn't have any cheese with it and that sucked for her). And then we went to the little park. But of course they forgot the camera so no documentation

That's it. We think no blogging for a few days now.

Baby Aiden will turn 5 months this week God willing. And I will turn 2 years and 7 months next week. We are growing up. Mommy is already fantasising of getting a job when Aiden can start day-care.

The Allergies Saga Continued...

Yesterday my poor little brother had to get allergy tests done. When I had them done they were not fun at all and I can't even imagine how horrible they were for my little brother.

The good news is that out of the 22 things he got tested for (round one of tests) he is not as severely allergic as I am to anything so his known allergies are not life threatening. The bad news is that he is allergic to 18 things that we know of and not sure how many more that we don't know of yet.

He is level 2 (4 is highest and that's my level for peanuts and sesame) for salmon, tuna, cow's milk and goat's milk so my mommy can't have anything that has those while she is breastfeeding him

He is level 1 for beef, eggs, apples, avocado, barley, corn, oats, rice, mustard, peanuts, and soy. So my mommy has to be on a small-quantities, rotation diet for those things.

This sucks for my mommy. This sucks in addition to how much it already sucks when you take into account how my allergies already make all of our lives very very difficult.

But, on the bright side, if my mommy follows a strict rotation diet and Aiden does to when he starts solid foods, the doctor expects him to outgrow most of these with age

Gymnastics Extravaganza!

Ok, so since February or March I've been taking gym and music classes at my day-care. I love it. Today we had a gym show at the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center. Mommy and daddy didn't know how I would be. They didn't know if I would be all shy or love being in the spot light. They could have asked me! Of course I loved being in the spot light.

The morning didn't start out that great. I was having one tantrum after the other. But we finally packed up the baby and got out the door.

Mommy and daddy bought me the T-Shirt of Flipping Angels Gymnastics for the show and I wasn't too crazy about putting it on

But then Miss Crystal, the gym teacher came and got us all and mommy & daddy and baby Aiden went to sit down with the other parents.

Then they brought us out and had us sit down. I still seem like I'm not too happy about the progression of things, but you should have seen the other kids - so much crying you'd think they were being tortured or something

Well, you can see for yourselves how much I love the spotlight:

Here I am doing a forward roll http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cFKJ5M_hVg

Here I am hopping http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zy051zn-XsA

And doing my favorite - airplane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PLsNcKemH0

And my second favorite - the balance beam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6o2JM7kvXfs

Here I am doing a forward roll on a downward slope http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kdi4OXDp7Y

Ok, so maybe I don't trust Miss Crystal completely http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlUuFgrthcI

Here I am attempting to make a bridge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqQjC0_LEk8

And lastly, here I am getting a medal because everybody is a winner. God forbid one of us will go through life being disappointed by anything http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjlyhuU-Ksc

Needless to say, I made mommy, daddy and baby brother Aiden very proud.

Baby After Bath

Because we can't show you a naked baby, we're doing the next best thing - baby after bath in diaper
